Cross Country/ Track & Field

A message from the coach: 

 

LeRoy Cross Country Team began practicing on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023. We had after-school practices on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The team was Zoey Purto, Novice Girls, Darrekk Kelly, Boys, Ella De La Pena & Taysia Otsig, Atom Girls, Daryl Fegurac & Garrett Kelly, Bantam Boys and Maurice Regie, Senior Boys.  

 

We went to Watson for Pre-Districts on Wednesday, September 27th. We had very chilly Districts at Dixon, and Taysia, Daryl Garrett and Maurice were able to compete here. Provincials were hosted in Regina on Saturday, October 14th; Maurice was the only runner old enough to compete at the Provincial level.

 

We had much fun with practices, trying different ways to challenge the runners to push them and learn new skills. I truly enjoyed working with this group of athletes and hope to see them and more out again next year!
