The 2023 golf season was a great one! The school golf season flies by so quickly, but we made the best out of the time we had together. A lot of dedication was seen during practices and we all had a fun time out on the course!

We only had one junior golfer this year, which was Jagger and it was his first year as part of the golf team. He shot his personal best in Lanigan at pre-districts and gained some great experience. We are looking forward to seeing what his second year brings.

The senior golf team consisted of four players; Dylan, Lukas, Regan and Geri Lon. They started out their season in Watson at the District Championship. They all golfed well and Dylan placed first with an 18-hole score of 79 earning himself a spot at Provincials.  Congratulations Dylan!

On September 23rd, Dylan along with his two coaches Mrs. Dale and Mr. Girolami, headed to the Provincial Championship in Elbow, at the Harbor Golf Club. It was an amazing course with beautiful scenery.  We did a practice round to get to know the course and prepare Dylan for his two-day competition. Dylan represented our Horizon Central golf team by shooting rounds of 84 and 82 with a two-day total of 166. Dylan finished 21st out of 54 golfers in Saskatchewan. Dylan enjoyed his two competitive rounds, met some new golfers and had a blast.

All of our golfers should be proud of what they achieved this year, as all of them played well and we are looking forward to the next golf season!
